Management Graduate Diploma

Course Overview

The aim of this Higher Level Management diploma qualification is to provide you with the key forward planning and strategic skills that are necessary to be a competent manager. You will learn the thinking behind best management practice and will be able to identify the fundamental driving forces behind successful businesses and organisations. You will acquire and learn different skills to set you apart as a professional manager.

 
Management is essentially people management, and to deal with HR issues the latest Human Resource thinking is critically examined. 

 
Management is essentially project planning, and you will learn how projects can be planned and monitored to achieve overall business objectives. You will learn to prepare a detailed project plan with high level estimates of time, resources and costs that meet agreed milestones.  


Management is leadership. Most importantly, you will learn the qualities required to be an effective leader of an organisation, which helps motivate staff and drive the organisation to meet its targets and objectives. 

 

 A recent survey indicated 79% of students have received promotions, acquired new job positions and salary increases within one year of completion of CMI Management qualifications. 

 


Course Aims

The Graduate Diploma in Management is an internationally recognised higher level 6 UK qualification (which is broadly equivalent to level 8 in Ireland) and allows further progression to level 9.

The qualification is awarded by ATHE - Awards for Training and Higher Education (UK) and is internationally recognised and regulated by Ofqual.


Assessment 
There is no written exams for this course. The principle method of learning is through practical applied learning in the form of assignments, case studies, and research projects. 

Successful students can progress to do a level 7 Ordinary or level 8 Degree in a similar related area and gain 60 credits of exemptions from their first or second year depending on the university programme and admissions policy.
