John Hewson: Project Management


John Hewson PMP, MPM, B.Sc. IT (Hons.)</p> <p>John is a qualified project manager with over 15 years of project and programme experience. He has managed several large business change projects at senior level for a major telecommunications company and has also set up  Programme and Project Management Offices in the public and private sectors.  John holds a Masters Degree in Project Management from the University of Limerick, a Bachelor’s Degree in IT from DCU and a Diploma in Applied Project Management from University College Cork. John has written course material for the Advanced Diploma courses and PMP course and has been lecturing on project management topics for CMI for over 3 years.



Turlough Kieran: Purchasing Management 

Turlough is a procurement professional with 25 years experience in the profession. He has   held senior procurement positions in a range of large blue chip companies and organisations in the public and private sectors, both in Ireland and the UK. Turlough is a graduate of Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS) UK and a member of the IIPMM) He currently lectures for CMI on CIPS Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply in procurement and purchasing topics.




Dermot Guiney: Environmental Management & Environmental Studies 

Dermot qualified with a Degree in Building Services Engineering from D.I.T., Bolton St. in 1996. He has over twelve years experience in the Irish building services consultancy industry, involved in mechanical and electrical services design, site supervision and project management, and health and safety assessments on a wide range of building projects. Whilst working as an engineer he furthered his interests in Health and Safety, Environmental, Energy and Sustainability issues by qualifiying in 2008 with a Masters Degree in Environmental Decision Making from the Open University. He is a lecturer in Environmental Management with CMI.



Julia Leo: Criminology

Julia Leo is a qualified barrister and is attached to the criminal courts in Dublin. She specialises in criminal law and criminal cases. She brings a youthful approach to the study of criminal law and criminology and her classes are captivating and interesting.


Adrian McGreevy: Advertising & Buyer Behavior

Adrian was formerly in Dragon Dens where he gained funding for his start up business Amphibia Sports equipment. He lectures with CMI on Advertising & Buyer Behaviour.


Henry Sheehan: Purchasing Management 



Henry SheehanHenry has facilitated courses both on open seminar programmes and for in- house training clients. His background includes 22 years in Financial Services working in a number of Senior Procurement & Facilities roles. Henry holds a Post Grad in Education & Training, is a graduate of Procurement & Supply Management & Mechanical Engineering . He also holds a Certificate in Training & Development and lectures on procurement for CMI.





Donal D'Arcy: Procurement and Supply


Donal Darcy

Donal D’Arcy is a procurement and supply chain specialist with over 10 year’s experience in the profession.  Donal is currently involved in public procurement in Ireland however also has extensive international experience in global supply chain management.  Donal holds an MSc in Supply Chain Management,  a BA (Hons) in Marketing, and is currently studying Public Procurement Law .  He works as a part-time associate lecturer with IT Carlow lecturing in supply chain and related subjects and also lectures on the CIPS programme for CMI. Donal serves on the Boards of Concern Worldwide in Ireland and the UK. 


Emer Nolan: Business Management

Emer has spent a large part of her career in the sectors of business analysis and operations management. During her career Emer has worked with famous companies such as Microsoft and Eircom. In her current position Emer acts as a senior program manager for Microsoft. Emer draws upon her academic and employment background to reinforce her lectures in the field of business management.






Anne Marie McAuley : Retail / Fashion Manager 

Experienced Fashion Lecturer 

Anne Marie worked as a General Manager for Republic of One (Fashion),  and held positions as Regional Manager for Claire's accessories and the Body shop. She is an experienced fashion manager with a keen sense of business from the variety of posts she held in the fashion and retail sector.  She has a Bsc in Psychology and level 6 Train the Trainer qualification. Anne Marie has a proven track record in demonstrating best practice in training and development.

Sean Browne: Marketing and Sales



Sean Browne

Sean Browne is an experienced practitioner in marketing and sales and was sales and marketing director for a number of multi national organisations. Over a period of 15 years Sean worked in over 30 countries on mergers, acquisitions, business expansion programmes, sales force development and NPD. He runs a management consultancy and is a SME mentor for Enterprise Ireland's International Selling Programme. He has designed and delivered sales and marketing training seminars in conjunction with D.I.T. and private corporations. Sean has worked with over 40 Irish Companies in the last 7 years on business expansion projects.


Michael Moore: Criminal Investigation


Michael MooreMichael Moore is currently a Detective Inspector in An Garda Siochanna and head of the Document & Handwriting Examination Section in the Garda Technical Bureau. He has been a Forensic Document examiner for over 20 years and has given evidence in many court cases during this time as an expert witness. He is also the Quality Manager for the Garda Technical Bureau which includes The Garda Fingerprint Section, Ballistics Section, Forensic LIaison Office, Garda Mapping Section and the Garda Photographic Ssection, and is a certified quality auditor and technical assessor.




Warren Donnelly: Health & Safety


Warren DonnellyWarren is a Health and Safety professional experienced with working within the construction and manufacturing industry with reputable companies in the UK and Ireland. He currently works for a construction company, Extraspace Solutions, managing EH&S on multiple projects running simultaneously and also at a production facility in Dublin. He has health and safety qualifications from University College Dublin and the British Safety Council.

He lectures the British Safety Council Occupational Health & Safety Certificate Course.

She has held Key Senior Management positions in Dunnes Stores, Marks and Spencers, Woodies DIY and in her current role is Head of Retail Operations and Development.
